Channce Gamble received a call from FEMA stating he was getting deployed to Iowa.  He got the phone call last Tuesday telling him he needed to be in Iowa on Thursday morning. Channce began working for FEMA a few years ago when tragedy struck from hurricane Katrina.  Channce is working in community relations at this point. He goes door to door getting information from the people and then telling them how to apply for assistance.  Channce says it is quite a mess from the flooding.  Since his arrival he has been working 16 hour days every day. We wish Channce well and hope he remains safe out there and we also feel sorry for the folks that have suffered losses due to all the recent flooding.
Thanks for a quiet brush fire season!

Members want to thank the public for following the strict burning regulations put in place by the State Fire Marshal.  The department had very few brush fires this spring "dry season."  Brush fires take its toll on members and our equipment when they get out of hand and are a real challenge.
